I got bored with the crafting/town bullshit, figured I'd focus on exploring and the story. Turns out the world feels oddly empty and small. Some good moments here and there outside the main story. Ended up re-installing new vegas and now playing that. Feels good man, tfw cant refund F4 anymore.

Playing fo4 made me realize how poor of a job it does creating a good apocalyptic atmosphere. Compare it to stalker, where you actually feel super exposed and helpless, and the world is truely a scary place. FO4 just feels like a kindergarden playground in comparison.

A good game in it's own right but suffers from a few things which are MAJOR problems.
Them being: Voiced PC with their own personality and limited Dialogue options.
It's hard to imprint on your character because no matter what they have their own personality and agenda to get across in dialogue.
Bethesda dropped the ball with making this a 'story driven' game, Fallout has always been a PLAYER driven game.
The adventure is what the player does, not some pre-set story.
At leastOnce you find your son the story branches off into multiple open ended segments
Which annoys me further, all of this trash only serves to introduce you tothe institute, it could have simply been a same sort of case as NV where you are left for dead in a vault or something more player-neutral.
I can only hope this voiced protag/story driven shit doesn't overstay, it's already unfriendly, welcome.
