The game wouldn't even actually work on anything but PC since the final boss in Neutral relies on being able to quickly re-open and shut down the game. Then you have a bunch of things like Gaster which rely on being in a moddable format like PC.

This year still sucked for games.
For all the tumblr comments, I don't go to tumblr but I played the game and I really enjoyed it. There were some inside jokes (Memes) such as the "Tsundere Plane" but even if you didn't get those jokes the game wasn't FILLED with them anyway so you could enjoy it without the inside jokes here and there. (And I bet I didn't get very much of the inside jokes, I don't go on social media very often so those jokes go over my head)
When I look at the game as a whole I enjoyed it, even if you don't understand a joke here and there it shouldn't devalue the game
