Sorry, but that's just wrong. Sure, you can do a lot more, but if all enemies are killed by basic abilities and don't utilize any of the skills, then it makes everything underwhelming. With Wind Waker HD, it was the little improvements that made it worthwhile for some. Of course, I didn't "eat it up" per se because I got WWHD for free with MK8.

Out of all the 3D ones, probably Windy Waker, in my opinion. The combat looks stylish and is fun to pull off, but at the same time, they give you techniques like that rolling strike that are actually required to take on some enemies like Darknuts.
If Twilight Princess did the same thing with its enemies, than I'd be all over TP, but when you have a shield bash, a strafing roll, a sheath strike, and many other moves, and just the basic moveset is all that's needed, that's just wasted potential. The only move that's required is the finishing blow, and it's the only one you don't get the satisfaction of finding yourself because the game forces it on you.

It's bottom of the barrel Zelda, in which everything it presented to you as a linear sequence as part of the main quest and experimentation is not a relevant factor. You like interesting, elaborate quests to discover yourself? Well too bad. It's only enjoyable if you see Zelda as a series of filler dungeon puzzles delivered along with a JRPG plot, which I suspect is where a large portion of its fans are coming from. Don't bother if you appreciated the creativity of the N64 Zeldas.
