I will concede that they're really shitting the bed IF they refuse to release gunslinger on its own instead of forcing their customers to wait for a second class, like they did with the last update.
anyway, it's still a good game. yes, it's mechanically different from the first game. it's a sequel. but the grind is paced much better and objectively shorter, and private HoE is pretty much just as hard, if not harder because of how poorly balanced the enemies are/lack of a particular alpha damage dealing class.
lastly, it's in god damn EA. it's literally WIP. therefore that implies valid judgment should wait for the actual release.

The fact that you have options and mods on the PC version means that someone can take their own vision for balance in a competitive scene and put it out there into the world.
