Well, I think I'm just about done buying COD games. Black Ops 3 is a total mess so far, all the weapons are futuristic tacticool garbage, I can't find any games because the game is retarded and everything feels overly complex; I buy COD games for their simplicity, so I can just jump right into a game and have what I'm supposed to be doing be self-explanatory, and not to be bombarded with pointless little features across every gamemode. Upon launch I had a memory leak issue (was using all 8gb), I ended the app in task manager, and booted it up again. After putting it into fullscreen mode, I didn't experience any further issues.
I didn't tweak any settings, and the game runs at a constant 60FPS in game.
I have:
Windows 7 (64 bit)
I7 4770k @3.5GHZ
Gefroce GTX 770
(I also downloaded the latest drivers for Blops III)
8GB of Dram
Game runs just fine, there is a known issue with I5's though that can be solved by missing with the config apparently.
So far its pretty much what you would expect from COD. Some guns are a bit OP at the moment, theres a 2 hit kill machine gun with no recoil, and some of the specialist perks need be re-worked. But no hackers for PC yet. I'm new to the COD franchise, so kill streaks are a bit funky, the specialist abilities are straight forward, but I've yet to use a kill streak ability.
The Vermin SMG is shit though desu. The first SMG is great.
Wall Running, and sliding are interesting features, but they don't really have a huge effect on combat.
I haven't experienced any real game breaking issues.
It's your average Arcade Shooter. It's COD.

That's probably the biggest reason why it hitches and runs like absolute shit. It's basically running a mutation engine on its own code every few seconds.

I am convinced that people with problems have a fucked pirated version or didn't update to the latest BO3 ready driver from AMD/Nvidia. I see people with my specs acting like the game is unplayable while i break 70 fps with close to max settings at 1440p.R9 290, i5-4690K, 16gb RAM
Game only uses 7GB RAM/3GB VRAM too, i have no clue where these "you need insane amounts of memory to play" statements come from.
Is the game fun? I'm so tired of looking at my steam library, seeing all those games and not wanting to play a single one. Is it just something that's fun to play, once in a while for mindless fun? Assume that it runs fine.

When you add all the areas in the single player, all the maps in the multiplayer all the zombies content, free run maps and combat immersion maps there is a lot of content.
It might not seem like there is much to it at face value but when you add it all up there is a lot there.
the freerun is pretty fun, shame its only 4 maps and are rather ez

Protagonist is alright, he doesn't take shit from anyone and is pretty cool - but I agree the campaign feels really bland after BO2's campaign. I'm only half-way through, half of the campaign takes place in Singapore and the other in Egypt (with one or two exceptions)
So far I've only heard Menendez mentioned in conversation, so it feels completely disconnected from the last games.
