Fuck everyone, I really liked these games.
WHERE THE FUCK IS THE ADVENT RISING SEQUEL SHIT
>>315376915
Second one was all over the place in terms of world design and wasn't as fun as the first.
>>315376389
or anything like this
Actual sequel pls. I miss Pandemic so fucking much.

Best game

Funny enough, I'm listening to the super best friendcast and they been spending a shit of time talking about the HD release for the past 3 weeks.
Also the LoK series, but that's only if the original team of writers and VA were back on board, so never ever.

How was 2, was it shit.
I really enjoyed 1 but boy, was some of that shit clunky like some of the missions like blowing up certain vehicles, tanks and protecting some tanks! Fuck, some of those south Korean mission and the China missions were rough!
Easy.

I thought 2 was okay, actually. Have you ever played Just Cause 2? It felt a lot like it, actually. Good amount of vehicles and bomb and weapons and shit, and all the different factions were cool as was stealing their fuel or resources to buff up your base, but all in all it wound up being a bit repetitive by the end.
And God Damn the city part was dead as fuck. Still fun to nuke, though.

2 is fun, but a bad game in pretty much every technical regard possible. I know "buggy" is often a buzzword used in place of "unpolished", but Mercenaries 2 is actually buggy as shit. Has a bunch of dumb stuff like being inside exploding vehicles not hurting you, but being next to them does. Also, the bounty system (one of my favorite parts of the first game) is completely neutered compared to the first, and the faction relations aren't nearly as intricate (The sandinistas and oil corporation hate each other, as do China and the US. The sandinistas/China and oil/US are allies, respectively.) Eventually, you get locked into a certain faction route too, if I remember right. Worth playing, but definitely rushed.

That creator did make a self-indulgent game called Beginners Guide that came out that was all about "oh man, being a cool indie dev that makes different and slightly hipster games is really hard! I can't deal with all of this popularity!"
The games about his supposed friend's games that inspired him to create the Stanley Parable that you explore.
>>315377451
also no checkpoints even for AS missions
kind of annoying when a truck kills you just before you extract the guy

Ok, thanks.
I wish Pandemic didn't go down under either, it sucks. Fuck EA.
>>315376389
This could easily compete with Sm4sh if Capcom would just do a next gen incarnate.
fucking capcom and their shit fighters.

I really hope all of you at least gave Saboteur a whirl. It was definitely Pandemic's best game and, despite its issues and flaws, it was still pretty damn good.
>>315378018
I tried Saboteur, being Irish, but never really got into it. It looks fun. Might give it a go on PC.
>>315376389
SO HERE I AM
wait..
please.
>>315378018
Played the shit out of it when it first came out. I thought it was quite good, definitely a contender for their best game. I'd consider Destroy All Humans! as well. Fucking great studio.
>>315378247
DAH is such a sad lil thing to me. The first one was amazing and each subsequent installment just went further and further down the shitter, culminating with the 360 version that didn't even have ragdoll physics. I mean, what the fuck was up with that shit?
>>315378018
Saboteur was great. It was like Commando comics:the game

They did an HD re-release? I've actually just been playing the second on Steam, i literally got it day one. I liked the original so much.
I'd love to see a new version of this, it would work great as a download game, I don’t need a big $60 title.
>>315378427
holy shit I'm still listening to the tracks.. "Not the one in Los Angeles... No, not the one in South California... They got one in South Patagonia"
