I could be wrong, but from my experience breaking Greed mode, Chaos shuffles items around in the pools. So it's not really "every item available" but rather that some items swap places. So you might get brimstone in the shop but proptosis might now only appear in an angel room for example.
I figured breaking greed mode and using chaos would allow me to get every single item in the game but I seem to run into getting breakfast a lot faster using chaos than not.

3 Mushrooms: Become a dumb mario facsimile. You shoot bouncing fireball tears
3 injections: holding the shoot button charges an attack and when released Isaac will charge forward
3 holy items: isaac's shot is replaced with an epic fetus style attack that uses light pillars instead of missiles.
3 evil items: Become the black isaac in full (not azazel). Devil deals are free and you get a different ending for beating the game in this form because reasons. I can't think of a good shot modifier though.

Just so everyone knows, if you have the new item Marked,the one that makes your tears shoot in the direction of the target,do NOT get technology (I had 2 but I presume it happens with all of them) it completely fucks up and makes it damn near impossible to aim. Machine guns have way higher fire rate but with the recoil and spray it's harder to consistently hit the target. Yes I argue that it's good.

Bigger enemies like Gurdy can be hit with both streams if you're standing close enough. Do you also argue that quad shot is bad because you can't always hit one enemy with every shot?

In the original it was considered a downgrade by all. People would even avoid that Whip thing just because it had shot speed. Also faster shots just means they fly across the screen faster, it doesnt really help kill things like damage.

All I remember is having to get much closer to enemies than I did before, and that wound up being a big problem in the larger rooms where the laser rings would just keep going outwards. I'm sure a more skilled player could've won that run but it was too much for me.
