I love it when people forget that the game's still japanese.
It happened the same when during the final boss of MGS Peace Walker a J-pop song started playing.
They made her eyes slightly bigger, way more animeish, gave her a bland feminine nose, and gave her more hair.
I prefer the Samus that actually looks like a soldier. Smash Sam just reeks of fuck me.

Where did I say that? I just prefer this middle ground. The Other M version is still in the anime style realm. I don't mind the Sm4sh Samus, I'd pick her as a close second as far as 3D goes. She is looking extra slutty in OP's pic, but she looks fine most of the time.
I might need some more ZSS pictures to form an opinion on which is best, anon.
