I'd imagine it's not very popular here because of the fact that it's pretty much a meme game
I'm being serious here, it feel like one of those "LOL SO RANDUMB" games that were made to cash in on Let's Players
And this is coming from a guy who actually likes the game

It's fun. Each weapon has it's subtleties and there is quite a lot to master with all the sliding, gliding and rope-swinging you can do.
