Is Hideki Kamiya the greatest videogame director alive right now? I think he is. No other director has a list of works remotely as good as he does.
He was director for Resident Evil 2, Devil May Cry, Viewtiful Joe, Okami, Bayonetta and The Wonderful 101. These are six of the best games ever made. RE2 is widely considered to be the best game in the original RE trilogy. Okami is a god-tier Zelda game. Devil May Cry literally invented the CUHRAYZEE genre and is one of the greatest action games ever made.
Name me one other director remotely as good as he is.
