So many cool things were happening and coming out during the ps2 era. Now we see a steep decline in many of the things that were common then.
(Examples: gibbing, death amimations, multiple animations for similar tasks, idle animations npc or otherwise)

when I see a racing game that has less than a dozen cars I immediately lose interest now. With the tech we have you have no excuse to put 30+ cars in your game especially if you are a big publisher
"Streamlining" and simplification, "Doing more with less" which almost always just cripples diversity in playstyles and removes replay value and makes exploring games boring. I want more games with 100+ page manuals you have to read before you play, packed with features and elements from different genres. Comparing the old X-Com's to the newest is what I'm talking about, shit's boring and uninspired.
