I don't care. That's something Square Enix needs to hash out themselves. But since we got the localization we did, it's obvious SEJ didn't care about the change.
Not to mention, it's not entirely inappropriate. Moogles look genderless. The only indicators I can remember concerning their genders are from being called "him" / "her", or from the clothes they're wearing (assuming that a moogle wearing a bonnet is a female). And since they look genderless, I could care less about what pronouns they use, as long as it's consistent. If, in the same translation, one refers to themselves as "he", and another refers to themselves as "xir" or what the fuck ever, and this isn't explained by Moogles literally being able to change their gender whenever, then we have a problem. Until then, I don't care.
