Vengeance is almost always on CD and foresight is almost completely useless.
Here's what mitigation has to do with galvanize.
Adlo on a WAR, they lose it almost immediately unless it's a crit as they have almost no way to mitigate incoming damage.
Adlo on a PLD, they keep the shield a while as a combination of their natural shield oath mitigation and having at least one CD up (like Rampart, an actually useful defensive skill) really reduces how much damage the shield is taking. The time your shield's up lets you contribute a healthy chunk of DPS.

It doesn't make a difference when its not critting for neither WHM or SCH. Its just slightly more HP and slightly more shield.
The main difference comes when heals crit and the crits make a huge difference on SCH because the combined amount of double shield and the HP adloquim heals is a lot more than A cure 2 crit

Well at low levels you expect people to be learning, and at that point the strategy to every previous fight has been to just kill it as fast as possible. Doesn't help that the first thing to challenge that thinking is further in the game than most non-mmos last total. That low level slump doesn't last very long however, especially if you play as a tank.

I am at 30-40 level area for my most played classes and I still see people doing stupid things that they should've knocked off doing long ago. Weirdly enough, some dungeons attract alot of shitters while others I never had issue with. Like the lv.20 mines one with doktor set items, NEVER had one bad player in those runs. Titan is such a nightmare, this close to expansion I think they should either nerf weight of the land or stop landslide from knocking you off..... it's getting depressing helping new friends or just trying to get your own clears for shit when people can't avoid shit. I haven't stepped foot in ramuh ex because garuda, titan, and then ifrit took forever.
I did garuda in a day, titan took a whole weekend of constant running, and ifrit took over a week, I gave up for a while and joined a couple "farm" parties before getting it. Went back to help the gf get her titan clear, god it's infuriating. I know they each have their dps checks, but it feels like Garuda tests a tanks ability (namely positioning and watching spiny stacks) Titan tests dps and heals, while Ifrit tests healers. Whatever, long rant from a pissed off guy trying to get through what should be considered farm content

The 30+ level range problems might have to do with people's role's changing as they unlocked advanced jobs. At that point a SCH has been almost entirely a damage dealer.
It might also have to do with certain dungeons being unlocked through quests, and not spoonfed to players through the main storyline.

And I am not saying healing is hard, but as a healer you become way more aware of how horrible other players can be. You can see the tank not holding aggro, the DPS taking damage when they shouldn't, not doing enough damage so you're running out of mp despite ethers and shroud of saints, and YOU suffer for it. The upside is that when you berate and lecture your teammates they'll sometimes listen.

Don't bother doing HM dungeons for the loot. Soldiery is used to buy ilvl100 equipment and is easily gotten (doing your daily low level roulette, the story roulette and elite marks will get you mad soldiery).
As for a weapon to get I'm not too sure. I went with relic and upgraded it to Zenith before replacing it with the soldiery weapon.

Archer is one of the easiest and laziest classes to play, literally no excuse, I've leveled all the combat classes and all I had to do in dungeons with ARC is stand around plinking arrows at things nad occasionally refreshing my DOTs.
if any class is a pain to level it's MNK due to having to hit from certain flanks with your combos and lacking a ranged pull entirely.

By the way, started playing ACN. What am I supposed to do in a party? I figured I'd just drop all my dots on every enemy individually so they all take damage, and refresh for every dot that runs out. Damage-wise this seems ok, but the tanks seem to have problems holding aggro on all the enemies they're not focusing on. Are they shit tanks or am I being a nuisance? I don't think focusing on one enemy is useful, since I can only apply dots once and ruin does pretty much nothing.

That's why there's an argument for 25%. There's some math stuff on Reddit to read, but specifically, the average should be around 7-10 dungeon runs for each.
This means that sometimes, you'll get a 1/1, and others you'll get a 20/1. It's the same type of RNG that fucks people over on Gathering with 80% Chance to gather and they miss all 4 attempts, but then that one crafter who gets an HQ 1%.
