Digimon World for the PSOne has issue, but the concept is solid. The PSP remake/sequel, or even the 3DS one, if you can speak Japanese, is better though because it lacks game-breaking bugs. Don't get the PAL version unless you like being unable to complete games.
After that, they're all pretty shitty unless you like their specific type of game. Try Card Battle if you like cards, or Digimon World Dawn/Dusk if you want all the Digimon in a fairly standard JRPG and don't mind grinding out the ass for anything beyond your starting team.
