Are there different types of weapons in the game?
By that I mean in previous Souls games you'd get multiple types of swords, axes etc, but from all the previews of this game it looks like there's only one weapon per type. One axe that turns into a polearm, one cane that turns into a whip etc.

Everything SHOULD be 60fps. But really 60 fps only makes a big gameplay difference for games where you're moving really fast and whipping around a lot. There's a reason they only show off those 30/60 frame comparisons with high speed FPS's and racing games. For a game like this with short bursts of speed and not a whole lot of camera panning, the fps is acceptable.

There are ways to make it chug, but generally you won't get those without trying.
Blight town was such a problem because it was rendering the entire level, plus the swamp below it and all the shit moving around down there and everything else. None of the other games have anything on that scale, so they never have that problem.
Blight town was really a magnificently large thing when you think about it; it's the sort of thing you don't see anymore, even in modern games. Skyboxes sure, but never something like blight town.

When you hit opponents you don't get stamina back though, which would result in you getting hit again which makes the regain system lose its purpose if it relies on mashing.
Also all game footage I've seen has enemies dying like in 4 hits, the standard in most Souls games, in those you could also "mash" to win if you knew enemy patterns.
