It felt more like a proof of concept or a demo rather than a full game
I hope the sequel has more mechanics along with actual depth and variety, and instead of every enemy doing the same generic screamer when you lose, each one should have a unique death animation/game over that isn't necessarily a fucking screamer

I liked both the desolate hope and freddy so there's a good chance I'll get it. The dev seems pretty cool too. Still be cautious though you never know. Always watch a gameplay vid before you buy a game.

The mechanics have to remain bat-shit simple for it to become popular though. Simple sells. Too many options in a game, and you'll quickly run in to the paradox of choice problem. It will be interesting to see if there are any new mechanics, especially to see if the developer can keep the learning curve to a minimum.

Guard must die mode: Guard drinks big gulp before shift, really has to pee but has self respect and won't piss in a cup or piss himself, he must go to the bathroom undetected. You can either use the stall or urinal. Urinal is faster but you have a better chance of getting caught. Stall is loud and you can get caught in there but you can play dead and try to trick them or they'll push the door open and kill you.

There's plenty of ways the developer could flesh out the sequel without turning away newcomers or people who liked the predecessor

First game to spook me in ages. There's something hella relatable and tense about it all. I mean, I'm never going to have to sneak my way through a castle infested with monsters, or avoid an alien stalking me on-board a space station- but getting stuck alone on the night-shift? That could, hypothetically, happen.

That's what's so spooky about them. There's just something inherently not-right about them. They're moving cartoon animals, which is weird. Their movements are jagged and robotic, which is weird. Their voices are usually creepy and high-pitched.
