Maybe. The controller itself is fine, but it works by Bluetooth so you'd have to have a receiver for that. It's fully possible to hook it up to a PC though, and that's a fucking cheap price for that controller. I'd say do it, just keep in mind you might need to buy a USB dongle for the bluetooth.

Yeah, the idea of the retron is to be able to use original cartridges, and thus the saves that go with them. But, beyond a point it's still emulation, unless you're playing it on original hardware, you're not fooling anyone but yourself.
As far as I know, the push right now from developers and contributors is getting hyperkin to strip all offending cores from their system (which is most of them), which would end up with them having a system with no software to run any of the games they claim, killing the system.

The point behind Retron5 is to sell to people just looking for an old NES or SNES. Tell them it plays both and a few others and it sells. Its really just for casuals looking to play games from when they where a kidor sometimes to get for their kids

Theme story is still coming along. Somewhere around halfway done. Here's a preview.Landing with a thud, Vita-tan was ensnared in a hug by her enthusiastic friend. "Great, it's gonna be one of those days."
Pulling herself up off the laminated floor, Vita addressed her assailant, "Uh, h-hey there 2DS-tan, what are you doing here?"
"Conversation toll is one hug. Exact change only." she replied with a face that exuded only seriousness.
"W-what are you talking about? Come on, get off." Vita stuttered out, carefully applying ancient hoverhand techniques to avoid actually hugging 2DS-tan. If she did that in front of her sister, she'd die of embarrassment.
"Ara ara~ You best do what she says, you know" said a smiling Wii U-tan, "she's been known to throw quite the tantrum when she doesn't get her way."
"Aw crap, I can't get persuaded into actually doing this." Vita-tan mused to herself. The pressure mounting, Vita-tan looked for a way out, but was met with the eyes of not only her sister and Wii U, but also 3DS-tan, who just stood there smirking.
Looking down, 2DS-tan was still staring intently at her. Vita's lower lip stiffened at the realization that she'd have to give in.
In the most awkward way possible, Vita-tan wrapped her arms around 2DS-tan and pulled her into her embrace. She could feel her face getting hot as she blushed furiously.
"When I get out of this I'm going to go drown myself in the fountain."
