Because nobody outside of Japan asked for rhythm games that you just pressed a button on a controller with. Rock Band Guitar Hero were successful because it used an guitar/drum/microphone for rhythm input, so it was actually entertaining, just like DDR is entertaining because you're actually mimicking the action in the game. How someone can find a game that you just sit on a couch and press face buttons on a controller for rhythm entertaining is beyond me

My brother and I fucking loved the GH series when it first came out. I remember playing the first one at my cousins house then getting it and the second one shortly after for my birthday with two guitars. Played up to 3 then got into RB cause dem drums man.
I remember being able to port RB1 songs to RB2, are there any more iterations of RB other than the spinoffs? I'm thinking of getting back into them since I sold the games and the instruments a couple years ago.
