That was next on the plan, but it's not any more. FPS is likely to be next, and that's only being revealed in a month or so.

oh right, that was quite stupid of me, but I imagine it will take some time to get money for ships, I'm hoping that it won't turn into grinding for credits, cause I'm pretty excited to see if they can deliver on their promises. I haven't played a good space exploration game in forever

I have a few questions for ED beta players.
will ED be pay to win like Star Citizen? Are they going to sell better ships, weapons, xp or ingame credits? Or has the ED dev promised to keep dlc and buyable stuff purely cosmetic?
how are singleplayer and multiplayer supposed to work in the final release of ED?

So far, there doesn't seem to be anything pay-2-win about it. The ships can be purchased fairly easily with in-game currency (some just might take a little more grinding than others) and, as far as I know, there is no way to use real world money to buy in-game credits.

DLCs/Expansions are supposed to contain gameplay and not just extension of the universe. Stuff like walking around your ships and boarding. I have no idea how that's supposed to be handled in multiplayer where one person has it and another doesn't.
