I mean, with 1 and 2, they were only a year or so apart and you knew they'd be having to make a second game to tie things up (I've heard it was just the amount of data earlier GBA carts could hold that kept it from all being on one cart). But Dark Dawn came out after six or seven years of hearing nothing about continuing the series.
And yeah, I agree. It's not as if the first two games were devoid of issues, but I found them generally enjoyable. Dark Dawn just amplified the issues already present, while adding shit like points of no return that weren't really in the previous two games.

There were a fuck ton. They were amazing games, especially Sarge's Heroes. It's a huge mind fuck as a kid when you learn you're in the real world and the enemy are getting their super weapons from the kids. And the combat was fun and challenging, so you actually needed some strategy. The multiplayer was also fun as fuck with friends. Too bad it's a dead franchise just because the last one didn't sell well. The only bad part is that the ones that weren't on N64 had janky as fuck controls.

It really depends on the series. It's brutally hard for Shinobi because Shinobi was rebooted fucking THREE TIMES and it still couldn't sell enough. What makes it even worse is that two of the three reboots are the best games in the entire series.
Power Stone still has no competition for its gameplay style, so re-releasing it would be SOMETHING.

Yep. I wouldn't call it as polished a rushed game as, say, Spyro 3, or Metroid Prime 2 (which I've heard was only given nine months development time or something), but it was still pretty good, especially the first two worlds. The issues were mainly with the later stuff in Lost Light and Shadow's Edge, though I must say that fight withSamielwas still pretty damn cool.
