I fondly remember being in the prototypal RP-based mercenary alignment, as pretty much the lower level in the area. Which allowed me to notice the interesting practice of aggroing a merc-aligned as an entry challenge for some guilds. Also, trap Sram was fun to play. Too bad the game makes fights happen as often as in other MMOs to progress, but the fights due to the tactical style are much, much longer.

You don't have to pay for fucking anything anymore for the most part, but it's changed into a 'kill this thing in one hit before it can touch you' kind of game, and the community is fucking abysmal, per usual.
It's still plenty alright, and a HELL of a lot easier to get into (especially on new characters, good fucking lord) than before. Rebirths are now free and weekly (daily up to level 1000), bank and shop bags and inventory bags are all free access, all that kinda stuff. But it's still a Nexon game.

They have this thing called Talents that you can choose on rebirth. It just gives you a slight variance in stat gains per levelup (a light bonus, and of course you lose all levelup gains ON rebirth so they don't add anything for the most part). The main thing about Talents is that they give you 2x skill training XP, so each thing you do counts for double the training requirements. Other than that, no, there's no class system.

I used to play a game that probably no one play which I do not remember the name.
What I do remember is that it was in beta around spring and summer 2005, it had an asian setting and that they managed to fuck up the XP at some point which made many people including myself leave.
Also, they banned North American IPs around 2006.
Sunk about 1000 or more hours into this game between all the servers.
Graal was pretty fun back when it had a decent player base. Spent most of my days on unholy nation. Which by the way one of the main points of the game was collecting and trading cool hats. This game was a hat simulator before tf2 was even an idea.
