It kind of is completely dependent on the game and context for me. For example, I like the oversexualization in Bayonetta because it's done in a fun, somewhat novel way that makes her a more interesting character. Other examples of good oversexualization would include things like Catherine and, to a somewhat lesser extent, Lollipop Chainsaw.
Examples like those found in your picture, however, yeah, I think they're pretty lame and they make me embarrassed to play the game. Fortunately, most games with lame oversexualization are shit, so it doesn't bother me.

Indeed it is. Im personaly a fan of medieval stuff, but boobplates arent offputing for me, unless the whole worldbuilding setup of the game becomes obviously inconsistant. That not only includes general art direction, but the other themes, how seriously the game takes itself, the realism aspect etc.
To be honest, very few games manage to fumble on making it in poor taste, where its obviously a general failure of the art director of the game.

In my opinion I don't mind a lot of fanservice in a game, if the fanservice is gratuitous it's because that's one of the selling points of the game.
Either way the only reason I see why people would complain is because they're either playing these types of games near family members or in public, which you shouldn't even be doing in the first place if you care about your image.
If you hate these types of things in video games, why are you even bothering to try them? It was made for people who want a lot of fanservice, they're the audience and you should just stick to western games because the nips tend to have more fanservice in their games.
