A very vocal minority of FF6 fans like to troll FF7 fans. This has caused a similar group of FF7 fans to become bitter and start hating on anyone who likes FF6 things. Even if they are not the same people who mocked them before.
It is just another case of how toxic the FF fanbase is. And I'd just like to point out how I agree that Celesand Squallis the best FF protag. In terms of character development.

Also, the thing I will always hate about FF6 is that it doesn't feel like any of the characters (in combat) are unique; once you unlock enough magicite you can teach everyone everything and more often than not you have the time to do that and then some. When everyone knows everything it ends up boring as hell.
