Social cues and context are near non-existent in text-based communications. If GG is being said because that person enjoyed the match, yes I can understand.
But a valid argument can be said for the players that did NOT enjoy the match, the losers in particular.
They could be unhappy because their team didn't support them, they didn't get their times worth out of the match, or they were just powerless to affect a positive outcome.
The point is you can't say GG when it is very possible it wasn't a GG for the losers. If you're saying Get Good, then you're just projecting animosity; the losers either don't need reminding OR it was not their skill that failed the team.

If someone just says it when they win, then it seems like poor sportsmanship. I tend to say gg if it's a legitimately good match, something hectic, and really memorable. Sometimes, if the players make it interesting enough, even losing doesn't feel so bad because it was very fucking fun.
