Who is this card really catered for! From what I've seen it doesn't stand a chance behind a 1070, is it for the "casual PC" it has an amazing price point but I doubt it can handle this years games at solid 60 FPS on high. I'm still running a 760 and not playing vidya that much it's killing me to either buy the 1070 or 480 even though we know which is better.
What are you getting?
Mostly aimed for players who aim to stay at 1080p gaming.

It's pretty much the only well received Pokemon spinoff as well as selling on par with street Fighter 5 (while most likely having a smaller budget than it as well).
If they keep supporting the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon series which always get middling critic reviews and get flip-floppy sales, it was pretty obvious they were going to support this when this became a success.

It makes you realize theres something called an economy in game. Its another layer of strategy in choosing stronger weapons vs weaker ones that are cheaper.

The actual weapon degradation was awesome; you were encouraged to change your gameplay based on the enemy (or enemies) you were fighting. The system as a whole was too shallow, though, as all it did was cost a few gold and a couple inventory slots to completely nullify.

Are there any recent games when changing graphics settings from high/very high to ultra actually makes a notable difference?

It's a serious thing with most console-origin multiplat games these days, that started quite a while ago. Some games LITERALLY look almost identical on both Low and High. CS:GO is one of them.
