What are your thoughts on emulation shaders for retro games?
Do you pick whatever looks cool, try to recreate the original display or just stick with raw pixels?

I just do raw pixels. If you asked anyone in the late 80s or early 90s if they would *choose* to play shit with scan lines or CRT distortion they'd just laugh at you.

He had already lost all interest by MGS 2, which is why that game is such fucking garbage.
But yeah, MGS 3 is fucking excellent and the best in the series, I don't know what happened. MGS V is second best but it's not even close to getting near the level of MGS 3

I've been really in the mood for old games and have played through a lot of shit from my childhood on the Megadrive/genesis, ps1 and snes.
Started emulating the ps2 and most games finally seem playable so recommend me some god tier PS2 games /v/
so far I have downloaded..
Dark cloud (never played before)
Dragon quest 8 (never played)
Evil twin (totally under rated)
Headhunter (loved it on the DC)
Shifters (got it for £3 years ago)
Haunting ground (never played)
Persona 3 (never played)
Dot hack (owned em all.. sold em n regret)
Bonus points for 3d platformers, weird JRPGs and games with an interesting/unusual setting/plot

RS is probably the best MMORPG.
Not modern RS of course, but around 2006/2007 the game was nearly perfect... in terms of quests... skills... combat... there's just been nothing like it.

Granted Japan is a major market, but comparing anything other than global screams compensating.
Nintendo's had a fairly good year (worse than Sony in vidya, better than Sony overall) and they're floating along fine for what is probably next year's NX release and the continuation of their lineup.
