The entirety of the budget was put into making it look good.
They already greenlit the sequel, which means with all the visual assets already set up, the budget can go to better gameplay.
Battlefront II: 2 will turn out better, just hold on. Or kill yourself now because you're probably one of those memers that likes to whine about Jar Jar, and nothing's ever going to be good enough for you.

I spent $110 preordering the deluxe edition since friends were all getting it (I'm 30 and work in engineering so, it's popular). I knew it was a waste when I bought it, but at least I had a group of dedicated friends who I knew who would play it. One buddy took 2 weeks off when those who pre-ordered got early access and he got to level 50 before I even downloaded the game when it went public.
Anyway, it's fun but casualized. I admit, I'm old. I grew up on HL1 and it's mods. I got good at Counter Strike but never THAT good. I just don't have the twitch reflexes in me anymore. SWBF is fun and accessible but there's little content. I got to level 40 in I think 30-40 hours (I have 205+ hours on record, but I alt tab out of the game most of the time).
A few of my friends are still in the 30-'s range but it's lots of fun to get together and help dominate the enemy. They really need to bring back HL1 and ye old private servers and voicecomm, but they won't. The battle of Jakku is honestly a shitty map.
It's worth like $20 when the whole thing goes on sale, if you want to deal with level 50+ people wrecking your shit out of the gate.

Dominions 4 is nice, you have lots of dominion and death scales and just expand a lot, eventually you have so many dead people in your armies you have trouble with too many commanders and armies

The romance in 7 is worse than the romance in 8. You go on one date with 1 girl, then you spend a night with one girl, no real relationship development. At least the romantic partners in 8 talked to each other about once a disk about their relationship.
I liked it. Some of the dialogue you can get in disc 2 if you keep Rinoa in your party is cute.
