Is the steam version of Final Fantasy 7 the best version of the game out there?
I've never played it before but I'm kind of tempted to get it for the steam sale mostly due to the HD graphics and convenience of playing on my computer.
mostly, it does have a few oddities and annoyance like music resetting after every battles
but beats a blurry PS1 version
also there's no HD graphics -- it looks like the original just rendered at a higher res (which doesn't really change much for huge blocky models and pre-rendered background)

It's complete trash, the hacking is fun for all of 20 minutes and every mission is a linear generic mess of repetitive ubisoft bullshit.
Not to mention it's unplayably ugly and insanely buggy, with near zero post-release patch support.
It's super great! Be sure to buy it at full price, as it would be a disservice to the developers if you bought it at a discount!

I debate all the time, "Best graphics" comes down to art style every time and people seem to different pretty drastically to what they consider best graphics. On a technical level, on a creative level or whatever else.
It's changed over the years for me, i used to be all about realism but these days i like a blend of both and sometimes pure style. I used to think it depended on the genre too but these days i love stylistic shooters over realistic looking ones. SWB looks pretty amazing on a technical level but when i saw it that's all i thought, i didnt get the wow factor i used to when seeing hyper realistic graphics.

Thinking of buying Witcher 3, but I played the Witcher 1 recently and didn't like it cause of the shit combat system and boring generic fetch questlines.
Is the witcher 3 the same shit but with prettier graphics, or is it actually better?
