Nah, it was improper use of him that caused a decline.
For example, him being in MGS1 is what shows us the character, right? And he's baller as fuck.
then 2 shows us how, when left to his own devices, he again seeks to be a second in command role, and steer the ship behind the scenes, still being a cheeky cunt.
Then 3 roles around, and he's still as quirky as ever, even as a younger man. And by revelations at the end, we see he's STILL playing a double/triple agent. Its all very much on form.
Then fucking 4 happens (PO not canon, fuck off)
He's shown to be "possessed for real" by Liquid, but then not, but then nano-machines, and now he's the leader, not a second in command, but even now he's a leader he's still doing double agent shit and oh fuck me
I can't do it. I can't even begin to describe how fucking badly 4 takes a shit on everyone's character, Ocelot got hit hard.
When we see him in Phantom Pain, they had to mellow him the fuck out to recover from his "LOL SO RANDOM" shit in 4, and we're not even wise to it until we realize Phantom Pain ALSO took a shit on everyone's characters but was FAR more subtle about it.
So yeah, Ocelot was great in 1, good in 2, great in 3, and its all downhill from there.
In 4 he was "too much" and in PP he was hardly fucking there, and when he was, nigga was half asleep.

I think they're prettyfun.
So far from playing the Demo, Generations feels like the Mahvel to the rest of the series Street Fighter.
I'm loving it as crazy ridiculous fun, but it probably won't have the nuance and depth and longevity of a main entry.
But that's fine, it's a great game to tide me over until MH5.

You have been warned.The next Sonic game is taking a complete turn from what Sonix games have always been. Rather than it being a linear platformer, the new Sonic game is an open world game with areas designed around Sonic, Tails and Knuckles.The world is approximately the same size as XenoBlade Chronicles X in comparison. It is split between a city, a forest, a desert, a snowy mountain area and EggMan Land.As Sonic you can run faster than other characters on ground and on walls with parkour, spin dash, and do various combat moves. Tails is capable of flying for five minutes and has combat moves, and Knuckles is capable of climbing walls, digging through certain surfaces, gliding and stronger combat moves than other characters.The game is set in an alternate universe to that of the current modern time line.(Unleashed, Colors, Generations and Lost World) It is set in a time where Sonic first became a hero, and Dr. EggMan finally started attacking cities and villages.Rather than levels set in order, you go around do tasks for people, (which generate a level for you in the current location) fight robots who ambush you, and complete time trials around the location all to gain rings and other items.You have a popularity meter in game. Depending on how many civilians are hurt or property is damaged will determine your popularity rank. Doing missions for people and saving civilians without damaging anyone or anything increases your popularity.You are also able to drive vehicles, attack civilians, (which decreases popularity) and disrupt radio/television transmissions as Tails.
This game has been in development since January 2012, and is due to release March 31st 2017 for PS4 and Xbox One.

Yes, it has waifus and good gameplay. The only complaint is that the entire story doesnt go anywhere as its just a big setup for a sequel. That said its about 8.8.
It's solid, and depending on your tastes you may like it a lot, but it does have its own issues that might hurt the experience for you.
The core gameplay, the mobility, is fantastic and fluid, and the world design is unique and very vertical to back up your ability to move in true 3D. The setting and characters are fun and unique, and the music and atmosphere is fanfuckingtastic. The PS4 version is also the preferable version since it includes all the DLC content and runs pretty much perfect 1080/60fps.
It does however fall into a lot of the trappings new IPs do such as poor combat balance resulting in one or two attacks being more powerful than everything else, the story being pretty short and the setting up its cast and setting but then going no further beyond that.
It should be dirt cheap considering Remastered was a budget release, so there isn't really any reason to skip it if you're interested.Personally, it's one of my favourite games of all time, but that's because it appeals so specifically to a lot of things I like from the gameplay to the music.
