What does /v/ think of Monster hunter X?
I only got to 4 stars, but so far I am pretty disappointed with the lack of new content, the freedom unite maps are cool and all, but I'd much rather have new maps. I feel like an idiot for jumping over MH4 for this, but then again, I only started the game.
So, am I really an idiot for skipping MH4 which is a superior game? Or have I not played enough of X?
It's an anniversary game, so it doesn't have as much content as a new numbered installment or a G version. if you want content, go for 4U
You haven't played enough of X to understand and appreciate just how far its come since 4 and 4U.
I'm playing 4U now, and I'm coming to really appreciate the complexity of the Charge Blade and it's 3 different styles you can play it. Compared to the Switch Axe, which was the most complex transforming weapon in Tri, it's clear lessons were learned and improved upon.

I don't even care if they use a different art style, I just hope whatever they settle on isn't as garbage as it currently is
also no idea if it'll actually be fun. the draw to huniepop for me isn't the writing or anything like that. it's the bejeweled gameplay mixed with light dating sim elements. I get fucking lost in both those types of games, and huniepop does both of them well enough that the hours just fly by when I'm playing it

No, Velstadt is just weaker because of how long he's been doing fuck all in the crypt. His buff turned into a hex. Think about it.
Velstadt is simply a weaker boss than Raime is.
Also, the helmet thing is mutual between both bosses. Wearing the other's helmet will make them go phase 2 from the start.
