Not in my opinion. If you're okay with just having a regular dogfight mode that crashes once in awhile then its worth the money. PU is too early in its stages to be enjoyable.
What are some good Monster Raising Games, /v/? Preferably something I can emulate.
Started playing through Digimon World Dawn, what am I in for? Also is DQM or DQM2 worth getting into if I've never played Dragon Quest?

I can vouch for DQM. It's pretty excellent.
The original gameboy games have a fascinating breeding system where specific monster may take generations of breeding to get.
The newer DS games do things a bit differently though.

Since it's GDQ season I thought I'd pose this interesting question:
Do you think hobbies like speedrunning are rendered much less attractive because of entropy? That is, your current conscious window into the universe has a time limit fixed to it because of the how things work physically?
The meme of "you only live once" is so embedded in popular thought that it becomes a major factor in how we act, I feel. So, the tendency is that most people treat life like a buffet, and try to eat as many different stuff as they can and as much as they can as possible.
To stick to one thing (eg speedrunning) to the point where it excludes others evokes a knee-jerk reaction in most people-

See the problem? By treating life like it happens to "you" only once, you inevitably end up acting according to a dogma of sorts.How many more people would speedrun as opposed to hop to a new game because of the "you only live once gotta have a colorful, wide breadth of experiences" meme? Is it possible for the average person to accept that this sentiment (you only live once) is not really true and do you think that would benefit the speedrunning community?

I usually play games with the assumption that I won't play them again, so I try to do as much as possible during my first playthrough. Consequently I will often get bored of the whole game before I finish it because I ironically end up stretching out my time with it

Except the undead curse and Gwyn keeping things fucked for everyone and Artorias trying to erradicate the corruption and getting corrupted. Add to that the fact that there are NPcs who aren't trying to kill you and send you on a quest to free the land.

Anyone else found this part of Life Is Strange episode 5 to be intriguing at first and then immediately falls flat on its face because of the fact it doesn't mean anything?
All it does is seem to ooze this pretentiousness from the devs like they're sitting their in the chairs going "Remember Arsenal Gear?" "Ooh this is spooky" etc.
The way the hallucinations attempt to guilt trip and play into her darkest fears doesn't echo any choices or consequences that the player really had at all, and don't really mean anything to the player but apparently you're supposed to feel guilt about "thinking you're so much better than others" or something.
Also potentially amplified by the shit ending where Max and Chloe zoom through a destroyed town with all their friends whilst smiling and lovingly looking at each other.
Max's voice actor annoys me because she has this weird sort of half-laugh half-asthma attack intonation everytime she talks.
