Should I get the first Dark Souls? I've beaten number 2 and I'm super hyped for 3. Is getting the first one and trying to beat it before release worth it?

DaS2 is fucking garbage and you are too if you played it without having played 1

It's an hour and a half long DLC for story. After you finish the story you can use every schematic for making robots.
You can send robots to other encampments and have them defend them.
It's alright but would have been nice if it was longer.
