I know it's somewhat of a longshot but is there anyone here working in the industry- preferably not in an obscure indieshit company- but maybe in some random position at a large- semi large developer, that could tell me a little about getting into the industry? I'm currently doing a degree comp sci and my plan is to try find employment in a double or triple a dev. Not that I particularly want to make triple a games, (I don't think triple A publisher's would go for the kind of stuff I would like to do) but I'd like learn how to make somewhat large, technically complex, polished games (I'm really not interested in being indie). My hope is that in starting with something like programming I could transition into a design role, or at worst maintain a position as a programmer which isn't a bad job.
If there's anyone reading this that could maybe give me some advice on what would help me realize my goal/dream, which is to someday have a decent amount- if not full control over design, I would really appreciate it. One of my major sources of concern is that I live in the UK and I don't moving to some place like the US to pursue a career in game design is extremely risky when I could just take my degree and get a cushy desk job.

Yang is obvious. Killing Santiago wouldn't hurt either, the other factions can already handle the military without the gung-ho jingoism. I'm torn about Miriam - her AI is batshit insane but her quotes make her seem like a good sanity check for the rest of the leaders. All the others should be peaceful enough to work out an uneasy compromise.

While I understand where you're coming from, they do exist even if they are a bit underdeveloped in gameWhich is why I posted the link to the gurps PDF since it adds a whole lot of depth to them. Besides, they still aren't as bad as BE factions.

Hey /v/ i started playing S.T.A.L.K.E.R Call of Pripyat to feel it again Mr. Krabs but something happened
I met some Duty guy who keeps running around crouched without a weapon just staring at me.
That itself would be o.k he wouldnt be the first retarded guy in zone but he keeps appearing int the most bizzare places stalking me, so i wanted to ask you if something like that happened to you.
Some info i got on him
>His name is "Private Rogoza"
>His inventory is always empty
>If you kill him he always comes back later
>He can survive emission outside
>He appears only in time period of 4-9pm
>Hes always alone
>He never speaks
>Hes a circle not a star
>He doesnt care if he takes damage from anything (once he spots you he just keeps staring at you no matter what)
Places/situations i saw him (only in Yanov)

If you do end up getting the S.T.A.L.K.E.R series, go with "Shadow of Chernobyl" first. Arguably the best game in the series, then work up. There really isn't any reason to not get the games, some of the best survival/action games out there. Get the first game, and if you like it, get the others.

From what I have read each class gets 4 sets of gear 1-50. Each set is slightly different, mainly color.
The "nice" sets are all cash shop, $29 a pop.

When it lets you play as someone other than Ryobi. Also, play on Normal. Enemies kind of just stand around and scoot away from you on the default difficulty. The difficulties are more of a stat check than anything, but enemies do get more aggressive and gain some new moves on higher settings.
