Old Hunters was really good but I have trouble comparing the two games. Love all the DLCs.
Blood and Wine is bigger than Heart of Stone and I like some of the quests better, and I think the pacing of the main quest in BW is better than Heart of Stone.
However, the characters in Heart of Stone were far more compelling. Blood and Wine wins just because of the new region, which is gorgeous and comfy, and because vampires are always appropriate. But Heart of Stone is a bit more memorable in terms of story.
Blood and Wine is great, best final boss fight too.

I heard that Blood and Wine was disappointing, though? The general was shitting on it and calling it mediocre, so I'm trying to stay away to avoid spoilers.
I've always been baffled by the overall employee count that Nintendo has maintained every year. Not because they are particularly a small company, but because they are extremely successful and their numbers don't ever seem to grow in accordance to their success. What exactly did NCL invest in with their massive hardware and software sales during the Wii and NDS era? We saw SCE (SIE) grow their resources exponentially during the PS1 and PS2/PSP era, but it just doesn't seem like the same can be said about Nintendo.
Doing a quick revenue / employee account from other successful companies with a comparable structure of publishing and development looks like this:

easily this part of arch peak. And the entire fight. And the whole fucking thing surrounding the fight. You can literally do this fight with a broken sword (not upgraded!) as a weapon and still 1 hit KO this supposed "ancient dragon" with the falling attack they set you up for.
And the wall/hit detection is bullshit with the snake enemies. They can fucking hit you THROUGH walls with their snake stretchy neck bullshit.

I sincerely don't understand. Why is Dark Souls 2 so hated?
The gameplay is VASTLY superior to the third. And for fuck's sake THIS is what should matter first in a Souls game.
Holy shit the developers actually put effort into making literally everything viable from offensive miracles to magic to fists and bigass slow weapons.
The areas are not as big or well crafted as DSIII, on the other hand they are far more varied and there are also a lot more of them
Many of the bosses aren't good, but at least they aren't literal gimmicks outside of Executioner Chariot.
PVP is way better as well if you are of those that play for it. Why exactly is there no arena in the third?
Why no npc gravestones? Why no bonfire ascetics thus forcing you to play through most of the game again just for better rings?
Frankly DSIII feels like a major letdown and I cannot comprehend why people love to hate on DSII.
The story and characters are also great with Scholar of the First Sin, although in this case I suppose there's still hope for DSIII through DLCs.
Honestly SM and ADP are the only really bad things about DSII.

How is it better in anyway way? The only thing DaS2 has over DaS3 is the weapon and armour selection. Everything else is objectively worse.
gameplay in 2 is shit compared to just about every game in the series, what the fuck are you on about
the bosses, areas, characters, story, pacing, aesthetic and gameplay are all far better in 3 than 2
