Kratos is a bitch and Sora is better than him and I'm going to prove it to all of you. Lets compare how they got their powers. The Keyblade chose Sora because it recognized his abilities and personally chose him as its master.
Kratos got his ass kicked in a fight by a barbarian and begged Ares for power, the pussiest God of the Greek pantheon, the one that got his shit kicked in by Athena so badly that he laid his head on Zeus' lap and literally cried tears over it.
Point to Sora.
Sora fought and defeated the cooler and more powerful versions of Greek Gods and Titans, such as Hercules and Hades, as well as other greek beasts. The versions Kratos fought were weaker and fucking boring.
Point to Sora.
Sora has fought and defeated Sephiroth and almost a quarter of the more powerful Final Fantasy characters. Kratos has not and could not.
Sora is a better character than Kratos. If Shadow the Hedgehog is just an edgy Sonic recolor, then Kratos is just an edgy Achilles recolor. The entire plot of God of War is just shitty Greek fanfiction written by a manchild.
Point to Sora.
Kairi is hotter than Krato's wife and also isn't dead. Sora also isn't a murderous psychopath that delights in sadistic torture.
Sora is also a better singer than Kratos. And Sora can fly. Kratos can't.
I'm not reading all that but Kratos got laid while Sora is still voiced by Hailey Joel Osmosis

It's time to play this game for the first time. It's been on my list for years, and now that I'm about to finish up my current RPG, a slot is about to open.
Which version is the best for a 1st playthrough? I'm going to emulate it, so both options are there.

Machinist, Time mage, Uhlan classes are garbage, don't choose those
Black Mage, White mage are a must have
others are fine, but don't select more than 1 of any class
enjoy looking up who should be what class for hours only to end up regretting it halfway through the game anyway
in the end it doesn't really matter though, you only need to min-max for the toughest side quests/hunts
Shit game desu only two characters are even remotely bearable

I tried giving it a go, Hell, since I pre-ordered it I was forcing myself to try and like it. But the awful AI ruined the singleplayer, the spam of "WE LOST A COMMAND POINT, TAKE IT BACK!", The Awful Lag in the oddest places, the fact you couldn't really *kill* someone rather than knock them out and keep firing for an absurdly long time to make sure they stay *down*, and the absurdly weak looking grenades all did it in for me.
