Look at how crazy it was over MGSV, how it loved The Witcher 3. Both those games were multiplats, but /v/ has a hard on for anti-sony anti-nintendo agenda.
The next Zelda game looks promising, the same can be said about PS4's zombie game Days Gone which is open world.
I've always hated Open World games. I don't see the advantage in having a bigger map if said map is empty and bland. Literally all it's doing is making the travel time between objectives longer.
Hopefully one day everyone will get sick of Open World games as much as I've been sick of them since forever.
