I've never understood the hate for this game, and I never will.
The combat was top notch, and playing as depressed, drunk, has-been Max really drove home the noir feel. Only complaint was that the plot was a bit dumb.
The fact that Victor Branco had to travel 3,000 miles, just so they could hire Max to later be the fall guy in an assassination attempt was a bit far fetched.

It was great. I enjoyed the setting of 1 and 2 more, but 3 was awesome.
in my opinion plot, voices, and protag seem worse, everything else looks better though

IF there was some ways to fix this game or even make a different kind of PlayStation crossover, how would you do it?
I would make its an adventure game with 3D platforming and RPG elements.
Each character has a moveset based around the games they come from.
There's enemy variety like dudes with guns and big monsters.
Levels are based around certian series with elements from other series.
Character interaction revolves around them being friendlly instead of hating each other for no reason.
And maybe some fun minigames with other series in it.
