>sports anime are popular in recent years because of fangirl hopes of gay action
>there's an anime about girls who play sports, tons of lesbian subtext for almost every character
>one character openly confesses love to another
>no one remembers this show and it's faded into obscurity
I'm sad, /u/.
>sports animoo
>yuri subtext
that brings taisho yakyuu musume and moshidora in my mind
ah, does GuP counts as sports too?
>>2054968
I loved it so much I imported the manga despite not knowing shit about japanese.
>>2054971
Naturally GuP is sports, as is Saki.
I remember Battle Athletes. It didn't even need hentai, I happily schlicked to just the girls in their training outfits.
Tanya's my favourite, though.
>Delicious brown, wild red hair, little fangs
Not forgotten by me, not by a long shot. Also, superior pairing.

when I was 2 years old
>BAV remake when?
Come on Japan we know you are as creatively bankrupt as Hollywood.
>>2055208
>they make a remake but decide to put "Anna chan" as the mc, turning it into a het harem.
>>2055208
But Kris' seiyuu died;_;
>>2055322
>deleted
It was a joke, silly janitor.
>>2055325
Go tell jokes like that in /pol/.
>>2055329
I'm sorry I triggered people unknowingly.
Racism is always funny to me, since at this point everyone should know better.
Either way, that has got to be my fastest deleted post during my time in /u/.
>>2055333
Ha ha I do that too but not on /u/. The only jokes I make here are lesbian superiority. Except I mean it.
>>2055325
>Having fun
>on /u/
Please cease and desist, the thought police will arrive shortly and educate you on the things that are good to say and the things that are not good to say on an anonymous imageboard.
>>2055298
Anna was only a boy in the OVA, which wasn't as good as Victory anyway.
>>2055695
Go back to /d/ with that filth.
best OT3
>remembering my awakening as a yurifag
The basis for a deep, strong relationship.
>>2056853
When I was a teen and just getting into yuri, Kris was my waifu.
She's perfection.
>>2054968
This show has the ultimate Mega Happy Ending>Protag gets both parents back
>Coach Dad no longer dying
>his wife is back from the dead as a teenager
>Protag's life is now a yuri harem anime
Good stuff
>>2054968
It needs a remake
>>2057264
The ending always confused me. I thought it meant that "it was all a dream". Did all the stuff the American release cut from the ending cause this problem?
>>2057237
She's still my waifuand husbandoeven now
>>2054968
So how do you go about watching this for the first time? The OVA or the TV series first?
>>2066996
chronologically Ova -> series
but the series is a retell of the ova, much better and trap free , so you can skip the ova
>>2067108
TV series is also much gayer.
>>2067108
>trap
How bad was it? I don't think I'd be able to skip the OVA because of my autism anyway.
>>2076991
eh, not that bad, the trap doesn't represent any thread to the main "couple" of the ova at all.I think he gets shipped to a boys school at the end of the first ova and we only get to see him once more, and that appereance only helps to confirm that Akari is into Kris, anyway
>>2076991
Trap isn't involved in a yuri relationship, so who cares?
Kris and Akari are the main couple in the OVA, and they're girls.
>>2057276
Wow, seriously silly hair. I like it.
There needs to be more yuri series in sports settings.
>>2077752
I hardly remember the OVA, but I think the context between these two scenes was a bit different.
>>2077754
I liked their relationship better in the OVA. in the series Kris personality changes, she's dumber and her relationship with Akari is more like unrequited love since Akari seems to prefer Ichino over her. in the OVA kris is cooler and there's a mutual attraction there, also their relationship is taken more seriously and not as a gag like in the series.
