I'm trying double bombs right now. Holy shit it's so good.
With enough Sub Saver, you can throw two Splat or Suction Bombs. You can cover two chokepoints at once, trap people between two bombs, and all sorts of stuff. The lowered ink cost is great as well. I love that I can throw a bomb anytime, rather than needing to have a full tank.

I didn't think it was possible to throw two Suction Bombs on one tank.
Personally I've had a lot of fun stacking Bomb Range on the Berry SSP; really helpful for crossing the gaps on Triggerfish or Depot.

Normal squids are just OC donut steel bait. Eromame has a few characters he develops somewhat so that's a little easier to get into. But Callie and Marie are actual characters with personalities and I like that much better in fandom.
Blank slates/looser defined characters are fine too, like the hero Inkling for example. But not just "made up character who is physically one of these squid things and didn't exist until I drew him/her."
