But these days, it seems that the line between korean culture and kpop is diminishing. Sometimes you will be able to see how korean pop stars or artists influence the Korean culture. For example one idol starts to wear this, then you'll see the whole korea starts to wear it. Some idol eats this, the korean begin to eat it. well if you follow wdtfs trends from first arc observantly, you'd notice that the writer likes to jump story when it comes to seju's part. eg. the end of arc one where seju and sungji meets, seju's mother scene, seju's dad falling sick and his brother coming back *then like nothing happen*, seju going to sumin's house and see sungji and sumin, and now the previous chapter. there's more i guess, but that's what i can recall. seju's scenes always come out as if like something big is gonna happen and we're anticipating it next chapter (like she gonna cause drama, vagblock or goes yandere or something), but the next chapter, seju suddenly either all out of the scene or just nothing big really happen. maybe she's just a scapegoat whenever the writer is having writerblock on sumin and sungji.
Got about 2 chapters left until the hiatus (if they plan to release only 27 chapters for this second arc, so hiatus starts after 54). Bet there's gonna be anothet Seju cliffhanger. Rings sure play a big part in this. Because Sumin lost the ring in the past it sort of triggered Seju to go to the bar to drink. Now Sungji is gonna come through the door looking or asking for/about the ring because she told Sumin she will look for it and knowing Sungjis character she'll do anything to find it. She'll find Seju and Sumin in a compromised position or worse, if Sumin decides to sleep with Seju. Hopefully Sumin will respect her girlfriend, but then again Sejus pleading is heartbreaking to Sumin, she even called her "Seju-ya" which she hasn't in a very long time. Honestly, Seju has loved Sumin unconditionally. the words she said "I always let you do your own thing", or '"You should come back to me then"
I know their relationship is beyond fixing now, but I still believe that Seju was Sumin's soulmate. Sungji is the healthy option yes, but their relationship doesn't seem as deep.
