Based on the end of chapter 3 I'm thinkingblack haired girl may be main character girl's half sister from her missing father's side. That would explain how she has the album. I'm guessing either main character girl or her mother has been sending pictures of main character girl's life moments to father, and that is how she got them. The shared father would also explain how they both got their musical background. Unless I missed some other information from a previous chapter that explains what she is doing with that Album.what do /u/ think?

Basically, they're saying that for a magazine with "Yuri" in the title, the actual level of Yuri in Yuri Hime nowadays is too low. Too many works focus on family love and friendship, and some are just "girls hugging and flirting" with no real romance. They think those kinds of stuffs are better suit for Kirara, not Yuri Hime. Yuyuyuri was a special case in Yuri Hime before but now there're so many works following its pattern that the whole magazine has become "Yuru". Recently, the amount of works with actual yuri romance in other magazines is increasing so there's no need to fuss over Yuri Hime anymore. They also note that it seems like rather than actual Yuri, the magazine is now focusing on promoting new authors. New series after new series appears then ends prematurely. Useless pages spent for reviews written by editors who didn't actually read any of the works. If this situation doesn't change any time soon, Yuri Hime's death is inevitable.
They did state that there were still some good and interesting works in the magazine, though, instead of keep buying it, they'd rather wait for the tank to come out.

Another anon here, but I'm currently actively following seven serials in YH (あやめ14, 2DK, 12分のエチュード, ラストワルツ, 犬神さんと猫山さん, Citrus, プリンスプリンス) and will probably catch up on a few more when the mood strikes me (ゆりようせい, 立花館). I also don't have any beef with 捏造トラップ's premise but unfortunately the character writing isn't really strong enough to support that premise, which is a shame.I thought Shuninta's 私の世界を構成する塵のようななにか was actually pretty good.
That's plenty enough for me; usually when buying a manga magazine I can expect to care about maybe two or three series at most.

Much in the same vein as >>2014505, I found that for the couple of series I've been especially interested in, this was a very good issue. Development, character growth, pretty decent (and particularly hilarious) writing, lewdness... I was quite satisfied. More than the previous few issues to be sure. But even then, there's really been very little to dissuade me from maintaining my subscription lately. I think I have fewer specific gripes than most on /u/ though.
I think this issue stood out for me based on how much it had me suddenly bursting out laughing. Oh my god Namori-sensei. You genius. But also Tachibanakan, and then there's just some of those faces Shuninta comes up with...

I understand your frustration, but i think a large portion of doujinka and translator for these series is fan of the series first, and fan of yuri second. Especially Touhou, considering like 95 percent of the yuri Touhou doujin we got come from groups dedicate themselves to the franchise only. Similarly, there are translators who only work on love live and idol master stuff. Its ok to complain if a group focused on yuri like yuri ism doesnt work on a range of stuff (which is not true, we have so many series and originals coming from them), but you cant really tell other people "hey, stop doing what you love, why don't you do what i love"

I'm just happy yuri-isn is working on stuff other than doujin. They do have surveys occassionally where they ask the interwebs what they want more of, so it's not like some other groups that will only work on what they want.
I remember the last one they asked for non-doujin requests, but I think the response was pretty small, probably because a lot of people don't even know the currently running yuri series, and there seems to be a weird rule among scanlators against poaching inactive projects.
