Because it sold like shit. The character didn't sell, the writers didn't sell (which isn't surprising) and the art didn't sell (unfortunately since Lupa art is great). DC was keeping the book alive because it was Palmiotti & Conner book, any other writers would have it axed in issue 6

I think Marvel treats them worse. Carol and Jess will never become an item despite the fact that it would sell like hotcakes. And if they do have gay couples it's clearly obvious they just want to get brownie points for deversity. DC at least makes it more obvious that Ivy and Harley fuck around. Quality is debateable of course.
