That one character is probably the self insert for the player created for the anime. In the game you can choose to be male or female, but in the manga version of Onigiri they made the protagonist to be a male. Zzzzzz they could at least make the anime have a female protag then, at least for diversity.

Just started reading it and by Ch 3 (pic) clearly displays Arisa is completely gay for Kaori, although there was a brief brother-related moment too which I'm not fond of. It feels like a darker Shinozaki-san, although the premise is kind of fucked upstep-mom physically/mentally abusing MC causing suicide angst, all of which is weakly written away when Arisa just happens to have all the answers. I'll report back if I encounter any deal breaking het.

It's pretty gogglable.
The different seasons switch character focus and interaction around a lot so you will probably rage at some of your pairings getting shafted along the way if you watch all of it. There's only like one possible het pairing over all the seasons (Akari x Sena in S3/S4 ep 102~+) so you won't have to worry much about that.
The first season (ep 1-52) is well worth watching both yuriwise and in general.

Even now, they are people who still believe that they are gay. With "A one-sided crush isn't technically yuri" or "Yamada just doesn't want to admit it" being common arguments. The trick is in the wording. Most of her comments have this "no but..." feeling to them. "Kumiko and Reina's is special but not 'special' special". It's almost like it's set-up so that if you really squint your eyes, you can see what you want to see.
And honestly, with the recent promotion materials, I think KyoAni is pursuing, as Ishihara might say, male-friendly yuri.

Yeah, this is why I almost never read yuri manga that aren't already finished. Most yuri manga have bad art to the point of being confusing, and translations take forever to finish, so you forget most of the plot between chapters.

Small update 4CC, it's kinda late and I have work tomorrow so I won't stay here for the draw but...
The teams we can draw in RO16 are /mlp/, /d/, /fit/, /wsg/, /f/, /s4s/ and /ck/. The draw will take place in like an hour or so.
More importantly since we're seeded we already know we'll be playing in the second match next Saturday, at roughly 18:40 GMT.
Uh, and I'll add this as well I guess. It might be kinda demoralizing and some people might ask themselves 'why tune in then?' but I'd rather be honest with you. I'm not feeling confident. We don't have any particularly good gameplan. We'll do our best next week to come up with something decent but don't get your hopes up. Hope for the best, expect the worst I guess.

So far all the girl/goddess pairings were debunked in romantic sense aside of male MC one, even if there's something more between blonde and her partner we will never know, I got tired of this anime when the boss lady was teased to have feelings for her male former superior by her pink loli goddess.
We even learn in the beginning of the story that Athena had female contractors before and other are surprised that she had choosen a boy now but of course only this boy can unleash her special potential going where girls couldn't.
Really discussing Luck & Logic yuriwise only cause you get one girl/girl contract kiss pic is a complete waste of time so far.
I can confirm that Musaigen is not harem. That doesn't mean the guy is not a problem, though. They pretty much force him to be the one to make the girls join the group. He's the first to interact with them and the one that they are shown with more. That because even though they seem to interact between them more, it's mostly offscreen.
Also, even though it's not a harem, there's not yuri at all, not even subtext. One girl calls another onee-sama, but because the other girl reminds her of her sister.
They also put a lot of scenes that are harem cliches, like the guy falling with his face on the girls panties or one girl licking his fingers. There isn't scenes like such between two girls.
So yeah, it's not harem because the only girl that seems to be interested in the MC is the main girl. But that doesn't mean the male protagonist isn't annoying. That's sad, because it would be a fun show without him.

This. I fucking love SoL and I look forward to them every season. But it's just honestly infuriating at times how gay some of the girls are (I don't think you can interpret Yuyushiki as anything other than yuri for example) but only to the point before it is actually stated outright. You can't have everything you want. Cute SoL shows about nothing fill my empty life somewhat, I can't not look forward to them.
I mean yeah, I'm always up for more romance (obviously) or non-school, possibly fictional, settings (SB69's musicpunk was comfy as fuck; although I'd really rather have the pointless plot be replaced by SoL this time), but I wouldn't expect the majority of shows to be like that.
Not to mention that SoL is generally completely chill, which seems to be the aim of many writers, focusing on actual yuri too much and making relationships progress faster could kill this.
