Post Dragon Games, Raven/Darling/Apple has gone up a bit in my esteem although I still feel like Raven/Briar/Apple works better if we're adding a third element to Poison Apple.

Yeah, but I suppose it's good for them to finally put to bed the notion that Daring is anything more than a good friend to Apple, which also kinda makes it less weird for Daring to move forward with Lizzie or Cerise.
Darling/Apple is interesting in that Apple's inclination towards following destiny in her own way does mean they are technically engaged now, while at the same time Apple might break away from destiny...which is the ideal setup for Apple/Raven endgame.
I normally hate love triangles, but I'm kinda digging what Raven-Apple-Darling could do for the shipping scene, even if I strongly doubt anything will come of it canonically.
