The series airs on premium channels and a late night slot, ratings aren't as important as the BD selling well. That being said, according to /a/ the series is estimated to sell around 28k who knows if that would warrant a second season
So how many girls are in Charlotte's harem now? Miranda wasn't with the Alder's this episode, so I guess she got demoted or something, that makes 3 from the Alders.
Looking at episode 3 and episode 5, it seems that the generic girls Charlotte was driving with actually changed between the episodes (how does that even work), so that's 5 or 10 depending on whether Charlotte abandoned the first set.
Then there are all the girls washing Charlotte in the bath, and I haven't tried to check if they were the same girls that Charlotte drove with.
I've gotten the feeling that it might end up being Akira who tells Mamori something like "look closer around and you'll find your real prince" to get her to notice Mirei.

Because Mamori was throwing lusty stares at someone else while Mirei was working her extra hard. Also Mamori went into drive just by looking at Akira, and later again just with a tiny kiss. This obviously means that they have much better compatibility.
I do predict that this will lead to a moment when the drive fails and Mirei gets distraught. Momoka shows up and makes her move on a vulnerable Mirei while Mamori goes to the castle to look for her prince. But then it turns out that Momoka has ulterior motives and wants to use Mirei for something sketchy/dangerous, and Mamori will decide she needs to go save her, maybe after Akira talks some sense into her.

I just want the Mamori from eps 1~3 back. You know, the Mamori that saw Mirei as her prince and worried about her. Remember this scene from ep 3? Mamori gets angry at Mirei for endangering herself and calls her an idiot while addressing her without an honorific for the first time. That felt like a major development, like their relationship had leveled up a bit. Then ep 4 acted like none of that ever happened and veered into a completely different direction. What the fuck even happened there, did they fire the screenwriter and get a new one or something? Did they have this planned all along and only did the first three episodes they way they did to bait fools like me? Hell, even Mamori's pacifistic tendencies seem to be completely gone. She's totally fine with getting into fights now, even initiating them like in ep 6, with no trace of the girl who told Mirei not to hurt the butterfly girl as they fled the church in ep 2.

You've got episodes 1-3 show a fairly logical MireiMamo progression, then episode 4 throws everything out the window with stupidity, then episode 5 looks like it's back to showing romantic MireiMamo development, then 6 goes back to just friends with only the slightest hint that Mirei wants to impress Mamori, then 7 is a weird place in that the concept isn't that bad but it feels like it should have come much earlier in the series.
It's just really all over the place on top of being drawn out too long for a 12 episode series.

You guys can't be serious with all of this Mamori hate right? Her bond with Mirei grow every episode. Compared to the first episode they're much closer. Also the trust between them is stronger than ever. Akira definitely notices this, thats why she was reluctant to drive with Mamori, because she didn't want to come between them.
You do noticed how Mamori had Mirei in her head when she asked Akira to use her right? She wanted to save Mirei that much.
In ep 1-3 Mamori was slowly falling for Mirei but then she met Akira in ep 4. Like those shoujo manga where the MC falls for the end game character in early chapter but just before she actually realize her feeling someone came in and disrupt their progression. And in turn MC will be better friends and share deeper bond with end game chara which will make the conclusion to be much more satisfying because they already showed us how good they are with each other.
This type of progression is already tested, and it works. Tons of romance drama and manga follow it and they enjoy various type of success depends on how they execute it.
Anyway whats this stuff about Mamori can't drive properly with Mirei? Is it pic related?
