Not bad. And the art is very nice.

>>1895737
Any chances mangagamer will pick it up in 2016?
>>
>>1895741
Hopefully at least a few more will pop up near the end of the timescale.

Don't bother with Lilycal Laika though, you will be very disappointed.
>>
Is there any upcoming western game besides Dragon Dogma: Dark Arisen?
>>
>>1895737
Not that I would want anyone to expose themselves to the autists that do things like VN translations, but this guy should get some help so we can get patches for these games.
>>
>>1895880
On PC, you mean? Because Dragon's Dogma isn't new.
>>
>>1895883
Yes, of course. I have a 3DS too, but I doubt any kind of yuri content will be released to it too.
>>
>>1895880
Dragon's Dogma is a Japanese game. Made by Capcom
>>
>>1895746
Or the end of the geological era, for that matter.

>very disappointed
Spoil it for me, please?
>>
>>1895894
Oh, as you see, I don't understand a lot about video games. That's why I asked about upcoming games. Western or not, I think. Also, I hope my pc can run it.
>>
>>1895891
>I have a 3DS too, but I doubt any kind of yuri content will be released to it
Except Fire Emblem Fates. Tentative release date is still beginning of next year I think.
>>
>>1895880
Well there's always various RPGs and VNs in the pipeline
>>
>>1895921
Oh dear, correct me if I'm wrong but this game is a t-rpg, right? Going to take forever to beat but I'll get it when it's released.

>>1895929
I really like rpgs with final fantasy battle system, hope one of the upcoming games use it. Not found of VNs though.
>>
>>1895933
There are already several RPGs with a bit of yuri on PC. If you don't know much about video games, you still have much catch up to do before worrying if your PC will be able to run the latest games.

>Hakuisei Renai Shoukougun
Actually, Yuri Project is working on the translations. But it's at a stalled status. During the discussion, ClaymoreSmiley was the one who volunteered to be the chief translator but tends to disappear (due to RL), and seems to have permanently vanished.

If anyone wants to contribute, please do. The scripts are parsed already. Just fill in the blanks with your translations. Perhaps, I would love to help, but I'm also a little busy, and don't want to clash with anyone if they can do a better job.

This missed my notice entirely, but what was the verdict on Sakura Fantasy? Sadpanda says it's western so there must be a catch.
>>
>>1895975
Oh, reading the description, it looks like he's using the YP scripts and finishing the rest of chapter 1 for his channel, but he said it's too long to do the rest. Oh well. I'll buy ghost yuri girls, and hopefully that will help the cause of translated yuri games.
>>
>>1895966
>There are already several RPGs with a bit of yuri on PC
Can you list few examples? I'm using steam curator list as reference. I played Skyrim, Falout 3 and (a bit of) New Vegas, Mass Effect trilogy and Dragon Age games... I also played plenty of non-rpgs, such the last Tomb Raider and Saints Row IV. Everything in easy mode otherwise I wouldn't be capable of beating. I tried Crusader Kings II, Jade Empire,The Masquerade - Bloodlines and older Fallouts but I can't... I suck.
>>
>>1896012

Very mediocre, most of the yuri is in dream sequences. Seems to be setting things up for a sequel which may or may not come since every Sakura game sells less than the previous one
>>
>>1896029

Actually I'm going to walk that back a little bit, apparently they added a lewd patch with better cgs and sex scenes. Plotwise it's still just a porn adventure but with that it look like it actually has some porn
>>
>>1896012
The Yuri is canon, if that's what you are asking. There is no catch. However, as it looks on the tin, it's meant to have ecchi and sexy stuff. Also, it's not meant to be an award-winning game. I quite enjoy it, as a simple action+romance game. So rare to just get a game with a plot & yuri romance (that is not cloaked in subtext or minimized) mixed, and I like that it plays out similar to an anime series.

As stated above, very recently, they released a patch which updates the game with extra scenes. So, I hope that means the long-awaited chapter 2 is forth-coming!

Patch Update - http://www.mediafire.com/download/bh0ps8phwuijjmx/Sakura+Fantasy+Patch.rar

(It's their official link, not pirated)
>>
>>1896042
*When I meant game, I meant "Girls love only" VNs. They are still quite rare. And a lot of the settings are contemporary, which I'm okay with, but something different like fantasy for a change is nice.
>>
>>1896042
Wait, is this different from the uncensor patch they released a while ago?
>>
>>1896113
Yes it's different. This adds a choice of 3 H-scenes after the campfire part. Also extends the 'lose to monster'. Total 4 new CGs.
>>
>>1896015
Mediafire link in the OP.
Other thing: if your PC was powerful enough to play all these games, you're going to be able to emulate the older consoles without difficulty. That means everything on PS1, PSP and GBA is open to to you. And emulators allow to save your game anywhere, anytime, making games trivially easy if you so wish.

That's not an entirely fair assessment. At least in the case of the empress she immediately recognizes that the MC is subconsciously using her power to visit her in the dream world. She also considers the dream world just as real as the physical world.

There seems to only be one ending, and it's kind of bittersweet. Most of the game focuses on Ayumi and the various new characters, so we don't see much in way of yuri either. Although you see most of the dead friends as ghosts, Seiko, who shows up towards the final chapters, is so at peace that she doesn't appear as a ghost and can only communicate through an Ouija board. Her only thoughts are of Naomi though, and she asks Ayumi to lie to her so that Naomi can move on.

So the new SWTOR expansion has plenty of romancing between your character and Lana. Seems like with the coming chapters there will be plenty more, as the game has you confirm that you want to romance her in the last chapter.

I'm salty as fuck over what they did to The Exile. It's like Bioware was mad that KOTOR2 was better than their game.

The plus side is that the new expansion throws a lot of the SWTOR lore out the window since there's a time skip. It almost feels like the start of a "SWTOR 2". Muuuuch better cut scenes, much better writing, overarching story is much more interesting. I'd recommend jumping back it.

>Did anyone play this and could tell how much it interferes with the yuri?
He's a fairly big feature in Akira's (orange hair) route. She knows about him and considers herself romantically involved with both Mutsukis. He appears in CG (but that's symbolic rather than a literal transformation) and is even voiced* during sex scenes.

In the main route with Mutsuki's twin, Nanami (black hair), he's significant in the story and his existence is explained: he's a fairy spirit. He ends up separated from Mutsuki and returns to the mirror world paired with a sub-heroine, Yuuri, who is also a fairy. Nanami has no romantic interest in him and it's also made clear that Mutsuki's feelings for her twin weren't caused by the male personality.

In Komae (green) and Aoi's (pink) routes he has a few lines and helps Mutsuki to make her initial move but generally keeps a low profile and is ignored. In Kaoruko's (blonde) route it's like he doesn't exist.

I think he's less of a problem than how nonsensical the game is. I strongly suspect most of the art assets were made with some other scenario in mind.

* there are not many galge where a male voice actor is heard during sex: even when male player characters are voiced most of them are unvoiced during sex scenes or are played by a woman so it's, uh, remarkable that a yuri game got developed with a man making sex noises.
>>
>>1900338
Makes you wonder how one can come up with this kind of shit since no one profits from this.
>>
>>1900326
Oh, you know nothing at all about the series. Then, let me explain that again:

No, main character is male, female sniper buddy doesn't talk or even gesture to you out in the field, you can mod the game so that female models show up instead of male ones in certain cutscenes with no differences in audio, and the one canon gay girl loves a dead person.

Oh, if you want to play as a girl, you'll need to find one out in the field and abduct her first. It might take a while. Even then, you're still acknowledged to be playing as the main character.

It's a fun series of games, but not /u/ relevant outside of that one person I mentioned.

Very yuri focused. Story is basically about the two girls together. And all Arnas and Lyuritis really care about is each other anyway.

Talking about Yoru no Nai Kuni, did anyone see the game release that Koei Tecmo put out? It's like fucking hell, they changed shit around. The official Japanese website mentioned the "Love story of two girls who fell through the cracks of history", but Koei Tecmo totally deleted all of that (plus dumbly changing the main character's names) .

Are they going to localize away all the yuri?

>>
>>1901248
Hadn't heard anything about that from anyone except for you, and since I can't into moon, I can't exactly go check.

The 'announcement trailer' seems lightly yuri. I don't see why the name change is dumb, either. Arnice is pronounced exactly the same as Arnas, and Lilysse is a lot easier (and less weird, I suppose) to say than Lyuritis.
>>
Any chance of Madoka/YuYuYu games getting localized? None at all, right? I wish I had time to learn Japanese.
>>
>>1901626
Negative zero. With heavy voice over, licensing will be a pain in the ass, and the potential market here isn't big enough to cover even that cost, let alone a localization team.

Considering that Vita isn't hacked yet, no chance of fan translation either.
>>
>>1901070
How do you go from "Country Without Night" to literally naming it after night?
>>
>>1895975
I'm up for translating this game, but since multiple people are translating, someone needs to QC ... especially since I can't bother to check scripts that are already translated.

Anyway, I'm going to translate Sakai's route first. I'm a sucker for Imai Asami's characters.

Yeah. Scamco localized Sword Fart but not the Cross Ange Vita game that literally fixes everything the anime got wrong.

The thing is SAO is very popular outside Japan, and the localization? It was done for the SEA, and then Bamco sold that shoddy translation work to the NA after.

I assume the name is refering to the blue blood thing, which ties in with the whole no night part. It's pretty good actually. Sounds much better off of the tongue, and makes more sense on its own.

The day of systematic 'localizing the gay away' are behind us. And they sure won't bother for a game that's already 15+ even in Japan - they have no doubt as to who their target audience is.
>>
>>1901844
Yeah, sometimes I wish hacking and such is a viable option for the console, so we can have fansubs. Can't stand localization companies turning everything into programming for a kiddie audience.

But maybe they shall get it right. Is it certain that they will be including the Japanese audio with English subs for this title at least?

There's no localization company here, Koei Tecmo handle their own localization nowadays.

Japanese audio is more or less automatic nowadays for games like that, and has been for years. Koei's track record says it will be there.

I don't follow it either but from what I can gather, yes that happened. Eventually they got called on it, the backlash reached critical mass, they threw a lame "we didn't mean to do that, translation is more art than science" excuse and stopped doing it.

It's not that gay removal cannot happen nowadays, it's that it's not a given as might have been the case some years ago. And the most likely reason for that is that you can't really get away with it anymore - one thing we can thank the so-called SJWs for. Even fucking Nintendo was pushed into making an official statement when they patched the bug that allowed gay marriage in Tomodachi Life. And what do you know, for their next game with a relationship aspect they proudly made an official statement about how it included gay romances.

Japan has never been a huge fan of xbox but i think it did ok since there were a few JRPGs available. But nothing to be really proud of. The xbone on the other hand is simply a joke, and Microsoft know this so they skipped the TGS this year and will probably continue to do so.

It did like shit, they tried to get a fanbase at the beggining getting exclusive JRPGs but don't even that worked out. They even got that very popular idol game (don't remember the game) but the console still flopped hard.

That is why this time they didn't even try with the Xbone over there.

Afaik Innocent Grey VNs are a bitch to work with. Engine-wise. And I don't think JAST knew that. A bit naive to just assume the programming word won't be much of an issue, but hey. You're thinking of Daesh. The Chinese prefer disappearing their own citizens.

Those fanfic writers a couple of months ago were only arrested and harassed so I'm being just a little hyperbolic, but the point is it's surprising that her stuff is tolerated. Maybe she's rich.
>>
Spoilers for Sound of Drop, to explain its level of goggles:

During the demo, your friend disappears. After the demo, she's in trouble, and a lot of the plot after that point has 'save her' as the motivation. On her best ending, there are a few references to 'love' and 'how important she is to me', and the final CG has you holding hands.

There is never anything explicitly romantic, they are always described only as best friends.

On the unlockable routes another pair of girls comes into the story with personalities designed to be shippable (cheerful girl paired with gruff girl who begins to reluctantly like her) but considering the personality type she'll barely even admit they're friends much less anything else.

The one male character is not a romantic threat to either of these pairings, there is no het ending.

But there's no real romance at all, just a solid groundwork to build one on if you wanted to.

I don't think that's enough to put it in the pastebin for this thread though?
>>
>>1906419
AFAIK onilne fiction is tolerated unless there is explicit sex. So many of the writers self-censor, especially if they sell also physical copies of their works.

The yuri in Sakura no Uta is only a relatively small part of a long game, but where het harem eroge have a love triangle with a lesbian character in love one of the heroines, I'd like more of them to at least treat the lesbian as well as Yumi.
