I saw the RAW was up. I also looked on Fun's website earlier in the day, and saw they have the non-AA season/show up there, but don't see any indication that AA is going to be added as view-able on Fun.
And naturally there are already subs in spanish. Watching with subs in native language is awkward as hell, but I don't feel like waiting for Funi.
I can only pray these subs are at least somewhat accurate.

The yuri of AA has been confirmed repeatedly in multiple threads.
It really takes off in Volume 5 and there's no telling how much of the story will get animated but there should at least be some AkarixShino and KirinxRaika yuri, hopefully.
And yeah, there is plenty of "I want to be friends with Akari" getting thrown around but it generally leads to "I want to be more than friends" pretty quick.

As I recall, it was only really bad at the end of the Sisters Arc. His appearance and subsequent one sided beatdown of Accelerator makes all the shit Mikoto went through end up being pointless and despite being a complete baddass in that arc on her side, in the end she still has to end up a helpless damsel for Gary Stu to save.

I just watched it, and it appears the translator/typesetter's first language ins't English. Having said that the translation seems to fit pretty well with what is being said it just is off in grammatical flow and sentence structure.

As far as I know his biggest role is at the start of the second volume of the manga where he's introduced as Akari's rival for Aira's attention, and is actually portrayed as kind of an asshole.
His appearance in episode 1 was actually completely new, but it does sort of show how little his existence matters to the new girls. We do however get early appearances from Urara and Kirin (whose thirst is real) in the bargain so I guess it's not all bad.
The animation of the boat scene was pretty jarring, though. Especially when the trailer made it look like the animation in this would be top.

I'm new to the series too, and I didn't watch the original either so I see on reason why you should either. Which sub did you watch. The first sub out was a bit rough in translation. In short the girls are training in school to be detectives, and there is some dark underlying plot behind events in town (based on the end of ep1). Aside from that what do you want/need to know? Episode 1 introduced some of the characters, and explanations of the world and powers will probably come in upcoming episodes. Wait for subs of ep2, and see if things are easier to follow after watching both 1 and 1 (maybe re-watch one again too for things you might have missed in the first viewing).

There's a lot happening between that and then. For example, Raika and Kirin actually meeting, and showing how Raika wants to be a knight in shining armor for some other girl.
Kinda typical for Dogakobo by now. They only do one season. And for that they take what fits together into one nice season. So some things will change in order, some things will be ignored and so on. All so you have at least somewhat of a round experience and not some weird "tbc" in the middle of an arc, even though there never will be a second season anyway.
I don't want to sound like a manga elitist, but episode 2 was too rushed compared to the manga and Akari is more useless and crybaby in the anime (there was no build up for her to cry after sewing the parachute). On the plus side, Aria seems more gay, I don't have much hope for her hooking up with Akari, but it is nice anyway.

Don't worry. This show is Yuri because the manga is, and it has nothing to with the Hidan no aria main story. It is a spin-off. To make it simple, think of it as a different thing, but it just shares the Hidan main world settings. This is NOT a season 2 of Hidan No Aria.

Chapter 82 teases ShinoxUrara. Can't read Commie but it's Urara trying to get Akari to eat food off of her naked body, which leads Shino to try and outdo her. They start fighting and Akari tries to get them to get along, which seems to work.
