I really don't understand why some artists/fic writers view Kuroko as crazy lesbian rapist. Is because of the anime? She's pretty calm and serious in manga and her affection to Misaka is nowhere near the yandere level.

Well, maybe manga just provides more space for characterization, because there Kuroko has plenty of opportunities to "redeem" herself by showing her more serious side. Even when she acts overly affectionate towards Misaka, she still doesn't seem to be (completely) crazy about it.
