Unless I'm mistaken, Riot hasn't done any sort of plot progression or character insight in recent times, outside of perhaps Red posts on their forums and the occasional champion reference in new champ bios. Granted, I haven't been playing LoL as much, so I could be mistaken.

Yeah, LoL will be dead before they do anything significant in terms of storyline progression, which I think is fine since I enjoy the esports side anyway, and the lack of conclusion allows one to draw their own and do as they wish with creative license and all that.
Personally I'm just hoping they don't muck around with Riven anymore whether directly or indirectly, or at least they should release another female champion that I can pair her with other than Shyvana, who happens to be my current favorite option for her.
