To be honest I didn't care about this movie in the least until avgn got blasted for no raisin. I like this guy's work and his candor/perspective. It was so out of line and disproportionate that I really hoped it would fail to vindicate him. Look at all those empty theaters, he was absolutely right.

I originally didnt care about this movie. I thought the idea of a female ghostbusters was okay, and I only objected to McCarthy's casting, since she did movies like Tammy.

Honestly?
The movie's not THAT bad.
It's not GOOD, for sure, and it sure as hell doesn't live up to the originals, but it's not the absolute worst thing in the world, like it was really, REALLY threatening to be.
I actually really warmed up to the new characters.
I honestly wouldn't mind another movie in this universe, provided they learn their lessons from this one and make it tighter as far as plot and pacing goes. Which, frankly, is a MASSIVE step up from how I felt about it before I saw it, so I guess they can chalk that up as a win by default.
Solid 5/10. Not Hitler.
